Christy worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years. Prior to coming to Disability in Action, she consulted Retirees with their insurance enrollments. In doing that, she found a love for helping people work their way through the complex maze of paperwork, deadlines, and requirements.

Beginning October of 2024, Christy joined the Disability in Action team as Program Specialist. She will provide assistance with the 5 Core Services consisting of Advocacy, Information & Referral, Peer Support, Independent Living Skills Training and Transition. She will also be coordinating scheduled activities within the Center as well as activities scheduled in the community. Having natural compassion and empathy for others makes her a positive addition to the team at Disability in Action.
